Taylor Apple Pear is an Asian pear introduced by Green Barn Nursery and named for its round, apple like shape. The red blushed fruit has juicy, sweet flesh typical of Asian pears and ripens from late September into mid October. Taylor is self fertile, but another compatible pear can improve production. The nursery is evaluating the cultivar locally, and young grafts survived their first winter.
