Siberian Stone Pine (Pinus sibirica) is a slow growing evergreen native to Siberia and northeastern Asia. Woody cones take two to three years to mature and contain edible pine nuts.
The tree has a dense conical crown and soft dark green needles in bundles of five. It tolerates extreme cold and poor acidic soil, can live for centuries, and is used in northern windbreaks and reforestation.
