Red George is a British gooseberry cultivar with large deep red berries and sweet tart flavour. The juicy fruit ripens in abundant clusters from mid into late summer and is suited to fresh eating, jam, jelly, and baking.

The compact rounded shrub has relatively few thorns, making harvest easier than with many gooseberries. Red George is not known for strong disease resistance and can be susceptible to powdery mildew.
