Oregon Champion is a thorny gooseberry cultivar bred in Oregon in the early 1900s. Vigorous productive plants bear small green berries that ripen to soft yellow green with tangy sweet flavour.
The fruit is suited to fresh eating, jam, jelly, and desserts. Oregon Champion is resistant to American gooseberry mildew and is adapted to cool moist climates.
