The Norhey Improved Apple was created by Dr. C. R. Ure at the Morden Research Station, Agriculture Canada, in the 1960s to survive harsh prairie winters. This hardy apple features green skin that turns yellow after picking. It offers sweet, sub-acid flavors and creamy, crisp flesh, making it fair for fresh eating and good for cooking and juicing. This variety has consistent, heavy crops and is known as one of the hardiest apples.

One year old trees grafted onto one or two year old rootstocks. Apple trees are typically 12 to 20" tall.
