Minaj Smyriou Black Currant

Minaj Smyriou is a vigorous productive black currant cultivar from Eastern Europe. It produces medium to large clusters of black berries in mid to late summer with rich tangy flavour that balances sweetness and tartness.

The fruit is suited to fresh eating, juice, jam, jelly, and baking. Minaj Smyriou is self fertile, although another black currant can improve fruit set, and is described as resistant to powdery mildew and white pine blister rust.
