M358, also known as Vick's Pick, is a prairie apple developed in the 1950s at the Morden Research Station in Manitoba. It bears large apples, often more than 3 inches across, with green skin and red striping, soft juicy flesh, and a mild subacid flavour.
The fruit ripens in mid September and is suited to fresh eating, baking, and applesauce.

For reliable fruit set, grow a genetically different apple or crabapple that flowers at the same time. Bloom overlap at your site is the final compatibility check.
