Boreal Blizzard is a University of Saskatchewan haskap selected for very large berries with a full sweet and tart flavour. It belongs to the later Boreal series, extending the harvest beyond the earliest haskaps.
The breeder recorded harvest through the first three weeks of July in 2014. The exact dates change with site and season. Plant it with a compatible haskap such as Boreal Beast for cross pollination.

Boreal Blizzard is one of the Boreal series bred at the University of Saskatchewan from Russian and Japanese haskap lines. It was chosen for unusually large fruit, heavy crops and flavour. Oak Summit is a licensed propagator of the Boreal series.
Planting and picking
Keep new plants evenly moist while they establish, without leaving the roots in wet ground. Expect a small first crop the year after planting. Ripe berries hold on the bush for about three weeks before they begin to drop.
