Boreal Beast is a University of Saskatchewan haskap selected for large berries with a rich sweet and tart flavour. Its later crop extends the haskap season beyond Aurora and Boreal Blizzard, with breeder observations placing ripening in late July.
The upright shrub bears fruit with notable aroma and aftertaste. It is an especially useful companion for Boreal Blizzard and Boreal Beauty, pairing a worthwhile crop of its own with compatible pollen and overlapping bloom.
