Frostbite is a small to medium-sized apple with a size range of 2.2 to 2.6 inches (5.6 - 6.6 cm), is known for its very sweet and crisp flavor. This novelty apple is predominantly maroon red over a yellow-gold background, with red striping on yellow skin. It was developed in Minnesota, first fruited in 1921, and introduced by the University of Minnesota in 2008.
