Evans Cherry trees, propagate this spring and in small pots. A hardy sour cherry variety well-suited for colder climates. This small, compact tree reaches 12-15 feet in height, or for high production often pruned as a bush. It grows clusters of bright red cherries that ripen in mid to late summer. The fruit is tart but excellent for pies, jams, jellies, and even fresh eating once fully ripe. Evans Cherry is known for its high yields and reliable production, even in harsh conditions.

Originally discovered in Alberta, Canada, this cultivar thrives in full sun and well-drained soils, tolerating a range of soil types. It is self-pollinating, making it an excellent choice for small gardens or orchards. Its attractive white spring blossoms also make it a lovely ornamental addition to any landscape, attracting bees and other pollinators.
