Evans Cherry is a hardy sour cherry discovered in Alberta. The compact tree produces reliable crops of bright red cherries that ripen in mid to late summer. Fully ripe fruit is tart and flavourful for fresh eating, pies, jam, and jelly.
The tree can be maintained as a small tree or pruned and managed as a large shrub. Evans is self fertile, although another compatible sour cherry can improve fruit set.
