European Mountain Ash Seeds (Sorbus aucuparia) - Zone 3 - 100+ Seeds

European Mountain Ash (Sorbus aucuparia), also called Rowan, is native to Europe and parts of Asia. This seed was collected locally in Manitoba from trees carrying large clusters of orange fruit in September.

The feathery compound leaves and persistent fruit distinguish it from many other small trees. The tart, slightly bitter berries are usually left for wildlife but can also be used for jelly. European Mountain Ash can grow larger and carries larger fruit than the related American Mountain Ash.
