Consort Black Currant (Ribes nigrum x Ribes ussuriense)

Consort was one of the first Black Currant varieties introduced with resistance to white pine blister rust.  Reliably self fertile. We have a large bush in this variety that’s been producing for twenty years and is about 6’ tall with little pruning. Cold hardy and low maintenance.
