Clove Currant (Ribes odoratum)

Clove Currant is closely related to the Golden currant (Ribes aureum), but with black fruit. Both have the distinct lobed leaves. It has clove-scented yellow flowers in early spring. It's native to North America, grows taller than average black currants up to 6-8 feet tall and 4-6 feet wide. We have some bushes over 20 years old at our farm that we're propagating to start these new plants.
