Cherry Prinsepia (Prinsepia sinensis) is a deciduous shrub with bright red tart fruit that has a distinct citrus flavour. The small cherry like fruit can be eaten with added sugar or made into jam and also feeds birds and other wildlife.
Spiny branches form dense thickets suited to wildlife cover or a natural hedge. Glossy green leaves turn yellow in autumn.
