Narrow Leaved Cattail Seeds

Narrow Leaved Cattail (Typha angustifolia) is a marsh perennial with tall reedy foliage and velvety brown flower spikes. It provides food and shelter for birds, mammals, and fish. The starchy rhizomes, young shoots, and pollen are also edible.

Plants spread through rhizomes. Cattail seed germinates best with warmth near 37°C and can take up to two weeks.
