Black Nanking Cherry is a hybrid between Nanking Cherry (Prunus tomentosa) and Western Sandcherry (Prunus besseyi). It grows much like a larger Nanking Cherry but produces black fruit resembling the sandcherry parent.
Black Nanking Cherry needs a pollinator to set fruit and is best planted with a regular Nanking Cherry nearby.
