American Plum Seeds (Prunus americana) - Plum Trees - (Zone 3) - 12 Seeds

We have open pollinated Prunus americana x Prunus sp. seeds available collected locally in fall 2023.

Collected from a 25-30 year old large american plum tree growing in zone 3 fully hardy to -40C.
The tree had a good crop of 1" plums, good eating out of hand, clingstone, variable color red/yellow. 

We planted most of these for growing plum tree rootstocks.

Planting instructions: Our seeds are fresh to preserve viability. We recommend keeping them refrigerated for short term storage, and fall planting into prepared seed beds. Keep seeds in the bag, and optionally soak in water for 24 hrs before planting. Sow 1-2" deep and cover with mulch. Add squirrel and rodent protection like wire mesh or hardware cloth and keep it in place for the first growing season.
