It belongs to the Green Gage or Reine Claude group, though a precise pedigree is not established.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe fruit is mainly valued for fresh eating and is a short keeper. It is not self fertile and needs a compatible European plum flowering at the same time.
